Director of Church & Pastoral Ministries

In November, 2003 the Executive Committee met in Michigan for
their Mid-Year Meeting. After lengthy discussions and prayer, they extended
a call to Daniel P. Fredericks to become their recommendation to the 2004
Annual Convention for the full-time position of IFCA International Director
of Church and Pastoral Ministries. Dan has accepted this recommendation and
will be presented by the Executive Committee to the 2004 Convention
delegates in Merrillville, IN for their vote.

This new position is designed to assist the Executive Director in
administrative and ministry oversight as an advisor, assistant, and
field/resource coordinator. Dan will develop a network of personnel,
ministries, and resources designed to enhance the strength of our men and
churches. He will coordinate and assist the IFCA Standing Committees. He
will supervise the Referral Exchange Service to assist churches looking for
pastors and pastors looking for ministry opportunities. He will be
available to assist Church Extension Agencies. He will attend to ministry related
issues such as conflict resolution, ministry guidance, consultation, and
coordinating resources. He will also be available to speak and represent
IFCA International in churches, conferences, and Regionals.

Dan is being recommended by the Executive Committee to fill the newly
created position of IFCA International Director of Church and Pastoral
Ministries. We believe he is uniquely qualified to fill this position.

Dan was born May 30, 1957 on the Navajo Reservation in Arizona and was
raised there. His father Donald Fredericks is a missionary with United
Indian Mission/UIM International. Dan's father Don has been a member of
IFCA since 1957 (and also served as President of IFCA International 1996 to
1999), so Dan has been around the IFCA his whole life.

Dan graduated from Western Bible College of Denver in 1979 where he met his
wife Julie. Both earned their Bachelor degree in Biblical Studies.
Following Bible College, Dan and Julie entered their first pastoral ministry in
Kansas, pastoring the Clough Valley Baptist Church of St. Francis, KS, where
he also had a weekly radio program, "The Bible And You". While pastoring,
Dan also taught part-time at the Goodland (KS) Bible Church Christian
School, and assisted in the youth ministry there.

After three years of ministry in Kansas, the Lord led Dan and Julie back to
Colorado to serve as Minister of Youth at Englewood Bible Church of
Englewood, CO (an IFCA member church). This urban ministry in a large city
church was in great contrast to the country setting of Kansas, but also
provided Dan and Julie with rich ministry experience.

In 1983 Dan received a surprising call from the Navajo Bible Church, in Fort
Defiance, AZ, his place of physical and spiritual birth. The Navajo Bible
Church, at the time without a pastor and unable to find a Native pastor,
chose "the next best thing" since Dan was one of their own. Dan and Julie
responded to the call and served for seven years, systematically and
expositionally teaching God's Word. While at Navajo Bible Church, Dan also
ministered to the Navajo Nation Police Department, providing police
chaplaincy and jail ministry. He also developed a simple local church based
ministry, God Bizaad Institute.

In 1993, United Indian Mission (UIM International) was in need of a U.S.
Field Director for its growing U.S. ministry to Native Americans. This
meant a move to Flagstaff, AZ, where Dan has served in the UIM International
administration to the present. This move also provided the opportunity to
work with other Native pastors and local churches, as well as part-time
teaching at the Indian Bible College.

Dan has served many years as the President of the Arizona Regional of IFCA
International. He also serves as a board member of IFCA International's
Southwest Bible Church Mission as well as on the boards of Espiskapeo (now
CALL), Western Indian Ministries, and Indian Bible College. He has been
Chairman of the Elders at Calvary Bible Church in Flagstaff, AZ. Dan earned
a Masters in Religious Studies through Southern California Bible
College/Seminary, via a distance learning program.

He also serves on various IFCA International Standing Committees, including
the Biblical Conciliation Committee and Internationalization Committee.

The Lord has graciously blessed Dan and Julie with four children and two
grandchildren.

Congratulations Pawlaks

Nathan and Kelly Pawlak had a baby girl on 3/5/07.
